Job summary

Eastern University's College of Education invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor or Lecturer of Accounting within the College of Business and Leadership. The faculty member will teach in-person and online programs and develop online curricula, with rank determined by credentials.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in undergraduate accounting instruction, online teaching, and advising, and will engage in service and scholarship while upholding FERPA

Qualifications

• Doctorate required for tenure-track; MBA with accounting specialization or Master's in accounting for lecturer track.
• CPA license and professional accounting work experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated excellence teaching accounting at the undergraduate level.
• Proven ability to facilitate online courses for undergraduate or graduate students.
• Familiarity with online learning tools, software platforms, and video content creation.
• Diversity, equity and inclusion commitment across teaching, scholarship, service, and administration.
• Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and principled behavior.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and teaches course loads (typically 24 credits) as assigned and with effectiveness.
• Teaches a variety of accounting courses in the business and accounting majors, on-ground and online.
• Creates online course content as necessary and assigned.
• Serves as a faculty advisor for assigned students and mentors progress toward degree completion.
• Participates in department and college meetings and activities; performs service duties.
• Participates in graduation exercises and follows FERPA regulations.
