Job summary

The U.S. Coast Guard Academy invites applications for an open-rank position as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Accounting. We seek a teacher-scholar to educate cadets, mentor students, and pursue active research addressing real-world problems.

The successful candidate will teach financial and managerial accounting, mentor capstone projects, and contribute to a vibrant AACSB-accredited program within the School of Leadership & Management. In-person teaching is required.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution.
• ABD candidates must include a letter from the major professor attesting that requirements will be completed before start date.

Responsibilities

• Teach core accounting courses and upper-level electives.
• Conduct scholarly research leading to peer-reviewed publications.
• Advise cadets on capstone projects and undergraduate research.
• Perform rank-appropriate service activities for the department and school.
