Job summary

Vesta, Inc in Lanham, MD is seeking an Accounting Operations Specialist to join a dynamic finance team. This full-time role will manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll processing, and financial reporting using MS Business Central and Power BI.

The position requires 3-5 years of accounting operations experience, an associate degree (Bachelor's preferred), and a strong eye for detail. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting/Finance or related field with 3-5 years accounting operations experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IRS reporting (including 1099s) preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power BI, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoices and vendor inquiries.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Record journal entries, accruals, and reallocations.
• Manage credit card transactions and expense allocations.
• Review reports and correct discrepancies in Power BI and other systems.
• Support HUD, SSA, IRS, and state compliance including 1099 processing.
• Process biweekly and monthly payroll.
• Assist with audits and inquiries.
• Provide professional customer service and cross-team collaboration.
