Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounting Operations Supervisor for a contract-to-hire role in Urbandale, IA. You will lead a team of accounting professionals, manage journal entries, cash reconciliations, and cash flow analysis, and drive process improvements within a controlled financial operations environment.

The role follows a structured hybrid model: 4–8 weeks onsite, then hybrid with Tuesday onsite weeks, approximately 6 onsite days per month, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with a competitive pay range

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
• Experience in accounting operations/finance operations.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Hands-on general ledger and journal entries.
• Ability to drive process improvements.
• Analytical with ability to identify control weaknesses.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise an accounting operations team.
• Set expectations, monitor progress, and evaluate performance.
• Assign, direct, and review daily work for productivity.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with policies.
• Analyze procedures and implement improvements.
• Oversee general ledger activities and cash flow analysis.
