Marsh in Urbandale, IA is seeking an Accounting Operations Supervisor to lead a team of accounting professionals in delivering accurate, timely transactional processing and robust accounting support. The role emphasizes setting expectations, weekly execution, and driving improvements to strengthen control environments.

The position is based in Urbandale with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office presence at least six days per month and collaboration across external partners as needed.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience leading and coaching a team in an accounting operations, finance operations, or transaction-processing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to assign/review work, manage priorities, and deliver weekly operational objectives.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain policies/procedures clearly and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven problem-solving ability, including analyzing issues with broader operational impacts and implementing process changes.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and develop a team through coaching, guidance, and mentorship; set clear expectations and goals; monitor and evaluate performance.
• Lead, direct, and review work to maintain workflow and productivity; assign tasks based on skills and provide clear instructions.
• Set and deliver weekly objectives aligned to department goals; track progress, remove obstacles, and coordinate actions to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Communicate effectively with internal/external parties; adapt communication style to audience and situation.
• Explain and reinforce policies, practices, and procedures; ensure understanding and compliance.
• Make impactful adjustments to procedures and processes to solve problems; apply process improvement methodologies.
• Solve complex operational issues by applying critical thinking, experience, and analyzing broader impacts and the intent behind operating principles.
• Drive operational performance by setting targets, prioritizing work, monitoring results, and taking action to improve outcomes.
• Promote collaboration and continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and best practices across the team.
