Marsh in Urbandale, IA is seeking a Staff Accountant II to join our Fiduciary Accounting team. This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least six days per month and offers opportunities to contribute to accurate, timely reporting.

You will review and reconcile AR/AP transactions, prepare receipts and invoices, assist with month-end close, and collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience with AR/AP.
• Experience in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and across departments.

Responsabilités

• Review, process, and reconcile AR/AP transactions and related entries.
• Prepare and analyze receipts, invoices, payments, credits, and refunds with proper coding.
• Investigate discrepancies, unapplied cash, short pays, and overpayments timely.
• Perform account reconciliations and support month-end/quarter-end close.
• Monitor aging and follow up on past due balances and open items.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain documentation and support internal controls and SOX/compliance.
• Identify process improvements and assist with workflow enhancements.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses.
