Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a 4-year bachelor’s degree program.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking; able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to deliver to diverse audiences.
  • Organizational ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Bridgewater employees on innovative initiatives aligned with our vision.
  • Participate in departmental meetings to gain insight into strategic decision-making.
  • Lead individual projects and present your work to the Intern Cohort and leadership teams.
  • Assist with accounts payable vendor maintenance and set-up as needed.
  • Assist with the processing of accounts payable invoices.
  • Assist month-end close process, including general ledger analysis.

We’re looking for a motivated intern to join our 2026 Summer Intern Cohort at Bridgewater Bank, working with the Corporate Accounting team. Our internship program is designed to immerse students in real-world banking experiences, enhancing their academic learning with meaningful corporate exposure. Interns will apply the knowledge and skills gained in college to impactful projects that contribute to our organization’s success.

Throughout the program, interns will:

  • Collaborate with Bridgewater employees on innovative initiatives aligned with our vision.
  • Participate in departmental meetings to gain insight into strategic decision-making.
  • Lead individual projects and present their work to the Intern Cohort, as well as to our Operational and Senior Leadership Teams.
  • Assist with accounts payable vendor maintenance and set-up as needed
  • Assist with the processing of accounts payable invoices
  • Assist month-end close process, including general ledger analysis

Program Duration: May 25, 2027 – August 20, 2027

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must be:
    • Juniors and/or Seniors currently enrolled in a 4-year bachelor’s degree program
    • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: Superior analytical/reasoning skills with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Communication Excellence: Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Presentation Acumen: Confidence and clarity in delivering presentations to various audiences.
  • Organizational Strength: Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Professional Integrity: Ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion and demonstrated reliability and accountability in all aspects of work.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across teams and departments.
  • Ability to assist with daily accounting tasks as assigned.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The hourly base pay range for this role is $22/hr. Bridgewater Bank provides:

  • 2 Paid Holidays and PTO accrued in compliance with MN ESST Law
