Job summary

Maury, Donnelly, & Parr, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Operations Associate to manage the shared inbox, payment processing, and internal communications within the Accounting Department from our Cockeysville, MD office. This full-time, in-person role starts with 90 days and may transition to a hybrid schedule.

Ideal candidates hold an AA or have 6 months to 1 year of related experience, with insurance industry exposure and strong Excel skills. Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $70,000 per year.

Qualifications

• AA or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or 6 months to 1 year related experience
• Insurance broker or insurance company experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel data analysis skills

Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounting inbox and communications with carriers and finance companies
• Process carrier and vendor checks, ACHs and wires daily
• Review premiums and commissions for multi-policy invoices
• Import and reconcile files including positive pay
• Support billing accuracy and remittance to carrier partners (10+ daily)
• Collaborate with Account Executives to resolve billing discrepancies
• Advise service teams on proper billing procedures and resolutions
• Ensure taxes are paid accurately (MDP vs carrier)
• Return premiums to insureds
