Hopkins Printing is looking for a detail-oriented and hands‑on Accounting/Office Manager to support the financial and administrative operations of our business. In this role, you’ll be responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations, internal controls, cost variance analysis, customer credit, and day‑to‑day accounting support.
You’ll work closely with the Director of Commercial Printing and cross‑functional teams to ensure financial information is accurate, processes are running smoothly, and the business has the information it needs to make informed decisions.

What You’ll Do
- Maintain all bank account balances and statements, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date.
- Review monthly financial statements and financial reports for accuracy and investigate discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare journal entries and balance/reconcile accounts.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting reports, records, and files.
- Run and approve customer credit in accordance with company procedures.
- Partner with the mailing department to ensure proper handling and accounting of customer postage.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to support financial accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze and report cost variances, helping identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain company credit cards and statements, including appropriate documentation and reconciliation.
- Provide backup and hands‑on support for billing, accounts payable, and job costing as needed.
- Support general office functions and office equipment needs.
- Look for opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies for Hopkins Printing and our customers.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the business.
What We’re Looking For
- Specific knowledge of accounting and the printing and graphic arts industry, gained through formal education, professional experience, or a combination of both.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, financial reporting, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
- Experience reviewing financial statements and working with financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent computer skills and comfort working with accounting, reporting, and business systems.
