CLA is seeking a Manager/Director – Accounting Methods to join our Federal Tax Strategies team in Milwaukee, WI. You will advise on accounting methods, coordinate method changes, and collaborate with clients and colleagues to implement tax strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA required; JD or Enrolled Agent may be accepted in lieu of CPA.
• 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.

Responsibilities

• Consult on accounting methods-related issues including method changes and revenue/expense recognition.
• Display solid verbal and written communication skills to evaluate complex information.
• Conduct research related to accounting methods tax issues to expand knowledge.
• Collaborate on projects including client interviews, data reviews, calculations, and filings.
• Assist with researching and drafting method changes and IRS-related responses.
• Coach staff and contribute to multiple projects with reliability.
