Accounting Manager - Denver, CO | VC backed Tech + Home Services + Sustainability Business

I'm working with one of my favorite clients, a VC-backed mission-driven company, to hire an Accounting Manager - You'd be the company's first dedicated Accounting & Finance resource, reporting directly to the CFO.

The company operates at the intersection of technology and home services, focused on building more sustainable, efficient homes.

The Role

This is the first dedicated Accounting/Finance hire in a lean, fast-growing organization. You’ll own the accounting function end-to-end while helping build the financial backbone for a growing business as it scales.

What You’ll Do

• Build and improve scalable accounting processes, controls, and reporting
• Own monthly close, core accounting, and financial reporting
• Ensure accurate, timely, and audit-ready financials
• Partner with leadership on financial analysis and business growth initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in accounting/finance (sweet spot: 5–10 years)
• Preferred background starting in Big 4 or public accounting, followed by corporate or operating company experience
• Experience supporting a complex, high-volume business (e.g., product + services, manufacturing, multiple revenue streams, varied cost structures)
• Strong understanding of how revenue, costs, and cash move through an operationally intensive business
• Systems-minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning the full accounting cycle
• Full GL Accounting experience
