Job summary

Stedi is hiring an Accounting Manager to own the monthly close and day-to-day accounting operations as we scale. You will ensure general ledger accuracy, financial reporting, and robust controls. The role emphasizes automation and AI integration across systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.

You will report to the Controller, build documented workflows, and drive process improvements with a builder’s mindset while maintaining day-to-day execution and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth or scaling org.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and Big 4 experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into actions.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP with ability to research and document conclusions.
• Highly technical mindset, seeks automation and AI to build financial systems.
• Thrives in ambiguity and designs scalable processes from scratch.
• Moves fast with clarity, accountability and urgency.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and general ledger integrity.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations: P2P, T&E, payroll accounting.
• Prepare and analyze financial reporting and supporting schedules, explain variances.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies; document conclusions; partner on complex transactions.
• Build and improve accounting processes and internal controls as the business scales.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and enhance financial systems.
• Support cross-functional teams with guidance and issue resolution.
• Lead audit workpapers, coordinate auditor requests, and liaise with external auditors.
