Mason & Blair, LLC, a fast-growing AI-focused SaaS company, seeks an Accounting Manager/Senior Manager to own the close, audit relationships, and drive automation in a fully remote setup with occasional HQ visits.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in SaaS accounting, expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition, and experience managing remote staff to build scalable finance processes powered by AI.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and year-end close in QBO including journal entries and reconciliations
• Consolidate a multi-entity group with multi-currency accounting and intercompany eliminations
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting for leadership, board, and lenders
• Maintain chart of accounts, close calendar and procedures
• Apply ASC 606 to SaaS contracts including multi-element arrangements and SOWs
• Review customer contracts to ensure proper billing and manage AR collections
• Oversee remote staff handling transactional work

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing, AI focused SaaS company, and they have asked us to help find an Accounting Manager/Senior Manager who would be excited to build their role out in an exciting start-up environment.

About the Role

The Accounting Manager will own the close, own the audit relationship, and manage remote team members. Level (Manager vs. Senior Manager) will be set by experience. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes to build, fix and automate — and who sees AI as a core part of how modern accounting gets done. This job is fully remote, with occasional visits to their headquarters for corporate activities.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and year-end close in QuickBooks Online (QBO), including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, deferred revenue and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Consolidate a multi-entity group, including multi-currency accounting and intercompany eliminations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reporting packages for leadership, the board and lender reporting.
• Maintain the chart of accounts, close calendar and documented procedures.
• Apply ASC 606 to SaaS license, subscription, usage-based and professional services contracts, including multi-element arrangements, amendments and SOWs.
• Review customer contracts to set up billing correctly; oversee invoicing, deferred revenue schedules and collections on AR.
• Oversee remote staff handling transactional work.
