Job summary

OneAmerica Financial in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee reconciliation of information reporting and tax forms for ILFS and Institutional Markets. The role includes suspense management, balance sheet reconciliation, and training on suspense processes.

The position requires a BA/BS in Finance/Accounting/Business and 10+ years in a corporate finance setting, with strong communication and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• College degree (BA/BS) required; preferred majors in Finance, Accounting or Business.
• 10+ years of experience in a finance division of a large company or institution.
• Fluent written and oral communication.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial balancing on monthly and quarterly divisional reporting.
• Reconciliation of information reporting for assigned divisions and admin systems—monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Maintain ERISA accounts for Retirement Services.
• Manage and reconcile Individual and Institutional Market suspense accounts.
• Identify root causes of unreconciled items and propose corrective actions.
• Research and resolve accounting issues, including processing corrections.
