Job summary

ZRS Management, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting and analysis for a portfolio of multi-family properties. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and cross-department collaboration under the Controller.

You will lead automation-driven accounting projects, mentor staff, and coordinate with property teams and clients to ensure compliant, timely reporting. The position focuses on improving workflows, evaluating software tools, and delivering actionable insights

Qualifications

• Experience with monthly financial statements and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to lead projects and improve workflows using automation/AI.
• Experience coordinating audits and liaising with external auditors.
• Mentor accounting staff and manage asset onboarding/offboarding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review bank reconciliations for assigned properties.
• Review monthly financial statements and provide comments before finalization.
• Manage cash functions including wire releases, Positive Pay, and checks.
• Oversee payments such as distributions, taxes, insurance, and mortgages.
• Assist with forecasting, distribution calculations, and sale pro-rations.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
• Lead projects to improve workflows using automation and AI.
• Research software/tools to enhance accounting processes.
• Create and manage project plans, assign tasks, deadlines, budgets.
• Develop tools to track KPIs and leadership reporting.
• Assist with system troubleshooting and reporting concerns.
• Provide mentorship to staff; supervise when applicable.
• Support onboarding/offboarding of property assets.
• Interact with clients during new property setup to ensure standards.
• Create training materials for accounting staff and site teams.
