Job summary

Real Estate Investment Firm NYC is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee property accounting for a portfolio of retail, office and multifamily properties. You will lead a team of property accounting professionals, ensure accurate reconciliations, and prepare consolidated reports for leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 8+ years of accounting experience and supervisory capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus.
• Approximately 8+ years of accounting experience.
• Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in fast-paced, transaction-heavy environment scaling corporate systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Senior Property Accountants, review reconciliations, and coordinate data flow between cross-functional units.
• Review financial statements as well as AR/AP.
• Manage expense reconciliations, track aging ledgers, and deliver consolidated reports to leadership.
• Review and distribute monthly partner packages, credit facility compliance metrics, and executive internal financial files.
• Oversee contract onboarding inputs, regular service reconciliation processes, and client escrow accounts.
