The North Carolina Council of District Attorneys is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead its accounting operations, ensure compliance, and build internal controls for a newly formed agency.

You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting in NCFS, supervise a small fiscal team, and partner with state offices to provide accurate financial information for budgeting and reports.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and five years accounting experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of governmental accounting concepts, budgeting practices, and applicable laws.
• CPA, CMA, CGMA or comparable certification is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Oversee day-to-day accounting across payables/receivables, payroll, fixed assets, travel, grants, contracts, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for the new agency.
• Record, reconcile, and report transactions in NCFS; manage budget codes and accounts.
• Supervise a small fiscal staff and ensure timely, accurate financial services.
• Serve as primary accounting contact for internal staff and external partners.
