Job summary

Peak Management LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager-Property to lead a corporate accounting team responsible for weekly and monthly financial reporting across a large multifamily portfolio. The role emphasizes strong leadership, accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration with operations and senior management.

You will manage month-end close, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual work.

Qualifications

• Oversee full-cycle accounting operations for 8,500 multifamily units with timely financial reporting.
• Excellent supervisory and leadership capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask.
• Drive process improvements and automation to increase efficiency.
• Knowledge of GAAP and lender reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting operations for a portfolio of 8,500 multifamily units.
• Lead and develop AP/AR teams across the portfolio.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to owner and lender reporting standards.
• Monitor month-end and year-end close processes and timelines.
• Partner with operations and leadership on budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

Ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Oversee full-cycle accounting operations across a portfolio of :8,500 multifamily units, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Manage and lead team members across key accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies, as well as adherence to owner and lender reporting standards
• Monitor and improve processes related to month-end and year-end close activities
• Partner with property operations and leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis
• Identify opportunities for automation and system improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual workload

Ideal candidate will have the preferred skills and experience:

• Excellent management and supervisory skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas and data analysis tools
• Three years of multifamily experience
• Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail are essential
