Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
  • 5–7 years of experience as a School Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Sage accounting software preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; high integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Director of Finance in year-end financial reports and prepare monthly/year-end journal entries.
  • Assist with development of the school budget and prepare monthly reports for the School Board.
  • Meet with new employees to review payroll paperwork (W-4, I-9, direct deposit, etc.).
  • Assist with Employee/Volunteer Background Checks and Required Clearances.
  • Prepare Annual Teacher Contracts, Seasonal Coaching Agreements, and New Hire Employment Agreements.
  • Process separation paperwork and unemployment questionnaires for former employees.
  • Handle Act 195 funds for annual text book and supply orders and payroll processing.
  • Prepare pension reports and enroll employees into the Diocesan pension plan.
