Job summary

Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity in Indianapolis is seeking an Accounting Manager — Path to Controller to oversee accounting for the Fraternity, Housing Corporation, and related entities. The role offers a compelling growth path with a $90,000–$120,000 base, full-time exempt status, and a hybrid work schedule.

You will own month-end close, payroll, AR/AP, and housing finances, supervising the AP/AR Specialist and expanding the team as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience, nonprofit sector preferred.
• Familiarity with fund accounting and nonprofit software (QuickBooks, Blackbaud).

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll approval for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage AR/AP across the Fraternity and Housing entities.
• Directly supervise AP/AR staff; expand accounting team as needed.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes and reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Support audits and ensure GAAP compliance.
