Job summary

Augusta National Golf Club is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead and perform accounting for multiple departments. The role reports to the Director of Accounting and oversees two Lead Accountants, ensuring accurate general ledger and GAAP compliance.

You will supervise month-end closes, consolidate financial statements, handle ASC 606 revenue recognition, and support external audits. On-site in Augusta, GA, with a focus on internal controls and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Five years of accounting experience required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Experience with Oracle and/or NetSuite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain the general ledger for assigned departments.
• Analyze contracts to determine proper accounting treatment, including ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Review monthly departmental results and partner with leaders to diagnose issues and drive cost improvements.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable activity and develop AR reports for management.
• Lead the consolidation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and support external auditors.
• Manage, mentor, and develop two Lead Accountants.
