Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, including income audit, payroll, and the general ledger. The role demands GAAP-compliant monthly reporting, close collaboration with budget owners, and strong leadership of a hybrid accounting team.

Reporting to Finance leadership, you will drive process improvements, manage audits, and ensure timely tax and regulatory filings while supporting a culture of accuracy and accountability across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Accounting or Business Administration.
• 4–6 years progressive accounting experience; Hospitality and/or auditing experience strongly preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Experience implementing new technology and changing processes, including training team members.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications; Oracle and Procurement software a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with critical thinking to interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including income audit, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and analyze against budget.
• Manage month-end inventories, variances, and process improvements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits; assist with tax filings and compliance.
• Lead and develop a hybrid accounting team (remote and on-site).
• Ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls across departments.
