Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager, Lending Products, to own end-to-end accounting for prime financing and brokerage.

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, Prime Brokerage and Digital Assets, you will build processes from the ground up, lead monthly close and align with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting as the business scales. You will build scalable, automated controls, manage SOX compliance, and partner across finance, legal, and product to translate

Qualifications

• CPA designation with 9+ years of progressive accounting experience in fintech or financial services.
• Direct experience with financing, lending, or prime brokerage accounting at a public company with SEC reporting familiarity.
• Proven track record building accounting processes and internal controls from the ground up with SOPs and automation.
• Experience leading a team through monthly close, quarterly reporting and annual audits.
• Proficient with NetSuite, FloQast, and Google Suite; able to streamline close workflows.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own review and approval of monthly financing accounting entries, reconciliations and documentation.
• Build scalable automated financial processes and controls for prime financing and SOX compliance.
• Lead the monthly close, quarterly reporting, and annual audit processes; ensure audit-readiness.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate SEC regulations into accounting guidance.
• Drive new controls and process improvements for platform and brokerage accounting as business grows.
