Job summary

Connect Search, LLC seeks an Accounting Manager in Midland to oversee daily accounting operations and lead the accounting team through month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting and at least 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with 1+ year in supervision, CPA or CPA-eligible, and strong GAAP knowledge. Benefits include full benefits package and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 1+ year of team leadership or supervisory experience.
• CPA or CPA Eligible Required.
• Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support day-to-day accounting operations
• Manage and develop accounting team members
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
• Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting
• Maintain accurate and timely financial records
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Assist with annual audits and tax-related reporting
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes
• Partner with leadership on financial reporting and accounting initiatives
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
