Job summary

Columbus Hospitality is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting functions, ensure GAAP compliance, and support external audits. The role emphasizes general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, taxes, and comprehensive financial reporting.

Based in Florida, you will drive month-end/year-end closes, budgets, and regulatory reporting while pushing process improvements and metrics to aid strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or higher required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 4-6 years of accounting experience requested.
• Knowledge of GAAP, corporate policies and external audits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting functions: A/P, A/R, GL and taxes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain account balances and bank statements.
• Assist with audits and taxes.
• Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies and stockholders.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes and budget.
• Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
• Develop and monitor business performance metrics.
• Recommend improvements to accounting operations and implement new processes.
• Coordinate internal and external financial statements.
