Job summary

Columbus Hospitality, Llc is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee critical accounting functions in line with GAAP and corporate policies. You will manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, taxes, and financial reporting.

The role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting audits, coordinating month-end and year-end close, budgeting, regulatory reporting, and providing metrics to guide management decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 4-6 years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and taxes.
• Prepare, review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain account balances and bank statements and assist with audits and taxes.
• Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies and stockholders.
• Manage the budget process and month-end/year-end close.
• Coordinate internal and external financial statements and support decision-making with financial data.

Description

The Accounting Manager will manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits.

Essential Functions:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Maintain account balances and bank statements
• Assist with audits and taxes
• Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders
• Manage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processes
• Manage the budget process
• Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Develop and monitor business performance metrics
• Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing
• Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process new processes
• Coordinate and preparing internal and external financial statements
• Assist manager in understanding processes and interpreting financial information for successful, departmental results
