Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client in Chandler, AZ, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead financial operations, ensure accurate GAAP-based reporting, and support business growth with a strong, collaborative team. This hands-on leadership role reports to the Director of Finance.

You will oversee daily accounting, budgeting, audits, and internal controls while mentoring staff, managing priorities, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced, in-office environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Hospitality, resort, hotel, or club accounting experience is preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting expertise.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with QuickBooks, JD Edwards, or similar software a plus.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Partner with Director of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, audits, and special projects.
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial processes to protect company assets.
• Monitor department budgets and analyze financial results to support business goals.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a positive culture.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Review tax filings and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Track inventory and oversee billing and credit policy compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive continuous improvement.
