American Lumber, a member of the American Trade Group, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team at the Bryan, Texas corporate office. The role focuses on maintaining accurate, efficient operations and supporting growth across American Lumber and the organization.

You will supervise AR, AP, costing, inventory, and tax processes, while driving process improvements and developing staff in a collaborative, detail-driven environment.

Qualifikationen

• Five or more years of hands-on accounting experience, including General Ledger and month-end close.
• Two or more years leading accounting personnel and functions.
• Three or more years managing General Ledger operations in manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-intensive industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead the monthly close process, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Costing functions.
• Maintain accurate inventory accounting and fixed asset records.
• File and remit state and federal tax payments; support audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and partner with leadership on improvements.
• Assist with additional accounting and operational responsibilities as needed.
