Job summary

Vistar is seeking an Accounting Manager to drive consistent and accurate financial processes and oversee contract management with customers and suppliers. The role involves leading a team, developing value-added reports, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies while driving key initiatives.

The candidate will identify process improvements, manage execution, and provide leadership to 1 or more accountants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years accounting/finance experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, particularly revenue recognition.
• Strong communication, independent problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel including working with large, complex data sets.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end financial close, including providing deliverables and approving reconciliations and control activities.
• Support accounting and forecasting with internal departments/stakeholders.
• Ensure contract maintenance, interpretation and reviews are performed timely.
• Ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution of customer and supplier rebates.
• Drive process improvements and maintain SOX controls and best practices.
• Manage team staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
