Job summary

Janus International is seeking a Controller to manage financial operations, ensure timely close, and lead accounting staff including two Accountants directly. You will oversee revenue recognition, cost accounting, and intercompany activities, with emphasis on accuracy and audit readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting, strong technical accounting skills, and experience with ERP systems. CPA preferred; manufacturing/construction exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA preferred.
• Proven technical accounting in a fast-paced environment such as publicly traded or P/E owned company.
• Revenue recognition and cost accounting; Construction and/or Manufacturing industry experience.
• Detail-oriented, able to prioritize, timely, and confident in the work produced.
• Excellent at delegating, managing, developing, and overseeing the work of accounting team members.
• Orchestrate and drive close; perform and oversee journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Initiative and independent task handling.
• Auditor and corporate requests responsiveness.
• Proficient with MS Excel and MS Access; OneStream experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review project profitability reports and update cost estimates in the ERP.
• Prepare/post entries for inventory, intercompany, cash/bank accounts, and taxes.
• Post sub-ledgers to the general ledger and reconcile journals monthly.
• Manage accounting staff.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management books.
• Forecast daily cash requirements and financing decisions.
• Ensure timely month/ year-end close and coordinate audits.
• Maintain Chart of Accounts and vendor credit terms.
• Produce ad hoc financial reports and analyses.
• Participate in process improvements and system implementations.
