Job summary

Hire Up Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations in the Central Valley, CA. This hands-on role offers growth toward a Controller position within an operations-focused company.

You will partner with leadership to strengthen financial processes, drive accuracy, and deliver timely statements, budgets, and forecasts, while mentoring staff and improving workflows.

Qualifications

• Several years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on responsibility for core accounting functions.
• Experience as Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Accounting Supervisor, Senior Accountant, or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow reports.
• Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and provide insights to leadership.
• Improve accounting procedures, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Transition manual processes to digital systems and streamlined workflows.
• Support accounting software improvements, automation, controls, and audit prep.
• Partner with leadership and operations on planning and business decisions.
• Guide and develop accounting staff while building reliable processes.
