Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our GP Recycling Team in Dothan, AL. You will develop partnerships, manage a team of 5–7 employees, and partner with business leaders to support accounting excellence through process improvements and automation.

You will drive financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and lead cross-functional projects to optimize performance within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting/finance with general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Leadership experience managing a team and developing capabilities.
• Collaborative mindset to partner with stakeholders across the business.
• Transformation-focused to adapt in a dynamic environment and improve processes.
• Effective communicator with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Office and accounting systems; willingness to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5–7 employees and build strong relationships.
• Review processes for improvements and lead related projects across functions.
• Support FP&A with transactional excellence and business insights.
• Strengthen internal controls by identifying gaps and planning improvements.
• Provide oversight of accounting and financial reporting for the team.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Advance the Principle-Based Management culture and Guiding Principles.
