Job summary

LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager in Portland to lead a high-performing accounting group focused on asset accounting, capital projects, and financial reporting support. The role combines leadership with hands-on review and cross‑functional partnering to resolve complex accounting issues.

The ideal candidate has a solid GAAP background, prior leadership of accounting teams, and strong Excel/analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Strong GAAP foundation and general ledger experience.
• Experience leading accounting teams and developing staff.
• Experience reviewing complex accounting transactions and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an accounting team across experience levels.
• Oversee fixed assets, capital expenditures, and long-term projects.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting schedules.
• Ensure timely month-end close and internal controls.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and project leaders on accounting matters.
• Improve processes, workflows, and documentation.
• Support external audits and reporting requirements.
