The Accounting Manager reports to the CFO and is responsible for overseeing the accounting department functions. This includes ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reports, managing accounts payables, inventory control, treasury, tax, and accounting activities, as well as developing the department to support the company's growth and business needs.

Your Impact:

• Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable, treasury/banking, inventory control, general ledger, and taxes.
• Coordinate and oversee monthly closing activities, including reports, schedules, payments, and receipts.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform routine account analysis and reconciliations.
• Lead the planning, preparation, and execution of the financial audit process to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare monthly divisional P&Ls to measure profitability across business units.
• Supervise payroll and commissions processing.
• Manage tax accounting activities, including filing tax returns and reports with outside consultants.
• Handle banking responsibilities such as disbursements, reconciliations, and debt covenant compliance.
• Manage banking transactions, including wire transfers, ACH, and positive pay procedures.
• Report sales and other data to affiliated buying groups.
• Oversee inventory valuation and physical inventory activities.
• Create and monitor internal controls.
• Maintain foreign supplier insurance certificates.
• Assist CFO with special projects.
• Develop staff through performance management, goal setting, training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of experience in the accounting field.
• Experience in distribution or goods/inventory sales preferred.
• Proficiency with General Ledger Software (Epicor/Prophet 21 preferred).
• Fluency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Interpersonal and managerial skills.
