Job summary

Talentedge, a fast-growing fintech company operating in the digital banking, payments and crypto space, is seeking an Accounting Manager. You will own the day-to-day accounting, ensure timely close, and support SEC reporting and external audits.

• Own the monthly close process, including journal entries, GL maintenance and close checklists.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations across key accounts.
• Reconcile corporate and customer crypto assets against custodial records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments and cash application.
• Support SEC reporting and SOX controls across accounting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve speed, accuracy and scalability of the close.

About the Company

We're a fast-growing financial technology business building consumer products at the intersection of digital banking, payments and crypto.

The platform combines everyday banking products with crypto capabilities, including digital wallets, crypto trading, payment solutions and crypto-linked debit and credit cards.

The business has grown rapidly as demand for digital financial products continues to increase and is now operating as a publicly listed company. This is an opportunity to join a lean finance team at an exciting stage of growth, with significant exposure to both traditional financial reporting and the evolving crypto ecosystem.

About the Role

As Accounting Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day accounting function, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on time and that the books are audit-ready each period.

You'll lead the monthly close under the direction of the Controller, support quarterly SEC reporting and external audit requirements, and work across areas including AP, AR, treasury and technical accounting.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys ownership, likes working in a fast-moving environment and wants the opportunity to grow with a scaling public company.

What You'll Do

• Own the monthly close process, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance and close checklists.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations across cash, prepaid expenses, accruals and other key accounts.
• Reconcile corporate and customer crypto assets against custodial and blockchain records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments, invoicing and cash application.
• Support technical accounting areas including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation and fixed assets.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for external audits and quarterly reviews.
• Support SEC reporting and SOX controls across accounting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve the speed, accuracy and scalability of the close.
• Help reduce manual processes through automation and improved systems.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and review for accounting staff or contractors.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including hands-on close, GL and reconciliation ownership.
• Experience with SEC reporting and public-company accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience working within a strong controls environment.
• Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of ownership.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Public accounting / Big 4 experience.
• Experience in fintech, payments, digital banking or crypto.
• Experience with crypto assets, wallets, exchanges or blockchain-based financial products.
• Experience with consumer financial products or card programmes.
• Familiarity with accounting for digital assets.
