Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounting Manager in Cleveland, OH to lead the finance function for a newly acquired operating company during its transition. You will oversee core accounting, financial reporting, monthly close, budgeting, and internal controls while partnering with corporate leadership and plant management.

This onsite role offers hybrid flexibility, occasional travel to Newark, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 3–5+ years in staff or senior accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with standard costing and inventory management.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and reporting.
• Lead monthly and annual close processes for accurate results.
• Coordinate external audits and documentation.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
• Provide detailed financial analysis to support decisions.
• Maintain data integrity in cloud ERP including standard costs and inventory.
• Oversee internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure policy adherence.
• Partner with operations to identify cost savings and improvements.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Align financial processes with corporate goals and reporting.
