Talent Edge Recruiting partners with a growing advanced manufacturing company in the Cleveland area to hire an Accounting Manager / Controller who can own day-to-day accounting and help prepare for a public-company transition. This 100% onsite role reports to the CFO, oversees one accounting staff member, and offers significant long-term upside as the business scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA or public accounting background preferred.
• Experience mentoring accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting function for a growing manufacturing operation.
• Lead month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Manage and support external audit requirements.
• Prepare accounting organization for the company’s transition into a public-company environment.
• Help establish stronger financial controls, accounting procedures, and reporting processes.
• Manage accounting related to inventory, manufacturing costs, standard costing, and margin analysis.
• Support accounting across multiple manufacturing processes and production lines.
• Oversee and develop one direct report, with team growth as the business expands.
• Remain hands-on with transactional accounting, reconciliations, close activities, and financial reporting.
• Partner with CFO on accounting strategy and infrastructure.
• Support transition to a new ERP environment.
• Identify opportunities to automate and modernize processes.
• Build scalable processes to support growth.
