Job summary

Four Pillars Talent is partnering with a large Cincinnati organization to recruit an Accounting Manager or Senior Accounting Manager. The role leads a 2–4 person team and owns monthly/quarterly close, financial reporting, and policy interpretation within a broad corporate accounting function.

The position emphasizes process improvements, cross-functional partnering, and scalable controls as the company grows and integrates acquisitions. Cincinnati, OH, hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA, CFA, CMA, MAcc/MSA, MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Ideally 6+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Prior team leadership or people management experience.
• Public accounting and/or large corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge.
• Month-end close and financial reporting experience.
• SOX compliance experience and audit support.
• Strong Excel and systems aptitude.
• Ability to communicate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Own the monthly and quarterly close.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee monthly close activities and financial statement preparation.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal policies.
• Coordinate SOX compliance activities.
• Serve as a key contact for audit requests.
• Improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation.
• Partner with finance, operations, and leadership teams.
• Support policy updates and new accounting standards.
