The City of Stockbridge is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the Accounting Division within the Department of Finance. This role manages financial reporting, general ledger activities, reconciliations, AP/AR, fixed assets, budgeting, and audit prep under the City Treasurer’s supervision.

Key duties include supervising staff, coordinating audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and GASB. This is a full-time exempt position supporting municipal finances.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5 years of progressive accounting supervision, municipal experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and regulatory audits.

Aufgaben

• Oversee daily accounting operations: GL, cash, AP/AR, and financial transactions.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings and financial statements.
• Supervise Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Accounting staff for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee reconciliations, internal controls, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate audits and CAFR preparation per GAAP/GASB regulations.
• Administer budgets and advise departments on accounting policies.
