Job summary

Miller Milling seeks an Accounting Manager in Eden Prairie, MN to lead the accounting operations team, including AP, AR, and grain procurement, and to guide the Senior Accountant. You’ll oversee month-end close, ensure GL integrity, and partner with tax, audit, and insurance activities.

The role emphasizes technology-enabled improvements, GL automation, and the use of Dynamics 365 and Power BI. Candidates should have a four-year accounting degree, 5+ years of experience, and preferably CPA/CMA;

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or mentoring roles.
• CPA and/or CMA preferred.
• Experience in agriculture, food, or manufacturing preferred.
• Demonstrated record of improving accounting processes through technology (automation, systems, redesign, reporting).
• Working knowledge of ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and Office; familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the combined accounting operations team across accounts payable, accounts receivable and grain procurement accounting, plus the Senior Accountant.
• Set service levels, metrics, and cross-training to balance and back up workload.
• Provide leadership, coaching, training, and development opportunities; build bench strength.
• Partner with grain origination, operations, and commercial teams to ensure accurate contracts, settlements, and payables.
• Oversee month-end close and general ledger processes; reconcile sub-ledgers and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Drive process improvement and technology initiatives, including GL automation and self-service reporting via Dynamics 365 and Power BI.
