Job summary

Lennar is seeking anAccounting Manager – General Accounting in Miami to lead day-to-day general accounting, ensure timely GAAP reporting, and support close processes. You will partner across Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and Operations to strengthen internal controls and drive efficiency.

The role emphasizes process improvements, automation, and data quality, with collaboration across internal and external teams to deliver accurate financial results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Master’s degree preferred and CPA preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting/public company experience.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience with SOX controls and familiarity with GAAP.”

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day general accounting activities including fixed assets, leases, accruals, and general ledger processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accurate reporting.
• Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes and variance analysis.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for record-to-report.
• Coordinate with auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and automation.
