Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Accounting Manager in Raleigh to oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close. This hands-on role ensures accurate records, US GAAP compliance, and robust internal controls while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of progressive accounting or audit experience, a strong grasp of US GAAP, and CPA consideration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
Strong understanding of US GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close processes.
Experience with complex account reconciliations, financial statement analysis, and technical accounting judgments.

Responsibilities

Oversee general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Review financial results and balance sheet accounts for accuracy and US GAAP compliance.
Manage accounting activities across multiple business areas and operations.
Research and resolve accounting issues, ensuring consistent policy application.
Prepare and review schedules, analyses, and reporting deliverables.
Collaborate with Finance and operations on budgeting, forecasting, and initiatives.
Maintain internal controls and support audits; document processes.
Guide accounting staff and support their professional development.
