Job summary

True North Advisors, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of a growing wealth management firm in Dallas. You will own the full accounting cycle, manage client billing and accounts receivable, and strengthen internal controls while partnering with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Excel, QuickBooks, Addepar, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least three years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with QuickBooks or a comparable system.
• Advanced Excel skills with data analysis capabilities.
• Experience in wealth management or regulated financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate statements.
• Lead client billing and revenue processes and reconciliations.
• Oversee the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate audits and tax filings with external advisers.
• Develop accounting policies and internal controls for a registered investment adviser.
