LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager in the Dallas area for a fast-paced service-sector organization. The role combines hands-on accounting leadership with team-building across the department to deliver accurate, GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will excel at close processes, process improvements, and ERP system coordination, while partnering with other teams to drive efficiency and scalability. Hybrid schedule available with only two days in-office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 2+ years in leadership.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial close experience.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP, and AR.
• Lead monthly and annual close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage revenue recognition, accruals, and allocations in high-volume environment.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff; participate in day-to-day tasks.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting quality.
• Support external audits and respond to requests.
• Assist with ERP system management and implementations.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and scalability.

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization within the service industry in North Dallas. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who combines strong technical expertise with team management experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial close, process improvement, and ERP systems, along with the ability to partner cross-functionally to drive accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.

This position pays 130K-135K+Bonus and offers a Hybrid work schedule (ONLY 2 days in-office).

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Lead the monthly and annual close processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and internal policies
• Manage revenue recognition, accruals, and expense allocations in a high-volume environment
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff while remaining actively involved in day-to-day activities
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting quality
• Support audit activities, including preparation and response to external audit requests
• Assist with ERP system management, enhancements, and implementations
• Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial close processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday or similar platforms)
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred; experience in high-volume or operational environments a plus
