Job summary

True North Advisors in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the full accounting cycle, ensure timely financial reporting, and manage client billing and accounts receivable. The role partners with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and decision support while supporting audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has at least five years' progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and the ability to improve processes in a growing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control practices.
• Experience with QuickBooks or a comparable system.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis abilities.
• Experience with advisory or financial services environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
• Lead client billing and revenue processes, including invoicing and reconciliations.
• Oversee the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate audits and tax filings with external auditors and advisers.
• Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and controls.
