Job summary

Jupiter Power is seeking an Accounting Manager in Chicago, IL to own the consolidated financial statements, lead inter-entity mapping and specialty accounting areas (ASC 606, ASC 842, HLBV, intangibles), and partner with Finance, Development, Construction and Operations on technical issues.

The role reports to the VP of Accounting & Financial Reporting and requires a CPA, 5–8 years in project-based accounting, and proficiency with Sage Intacct; Ramp, Expensify, and Corpay preferred.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience in a project-based environment.
• Industry background in renewables/energy infrastructure preferred.
• Ability to independently propose accounting positions on complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Own the Jupiter Power consolidated financial statements and close process.
• Manage inter-entity mapping and specialty accounting areas (ASC 606, ASC 842, HLBV, intangibles).
• Draft technical accounting memos for new deals and transactions; escalate to VP as needed.
• Support the annual audit process and PBC coordination.
• Perform ad hoc duties as requested.
