Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager/Director to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the financial health of the organization. The Accounting Manager/Director will lead a team of accounting professionals, manage financial reporting, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide strategic insights to support business decision-making. This role requires a strong blend of technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accountants and financial staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans; monitor variances and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings, audits, and internal controls; serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Process Improvement: Design and implement efficient accounting processes, systems, and internal controls to enhance accuracy, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and reconciliations are completed accurately.
• Cash Flow Management: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions to optimize cash flow and liquidity.
• Strategic Support: Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic initiatives, cost-saving opportunities, and business growth.
• Technology Utilization: Leverage accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and ERP systems to streamline operations and reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification strongly preferred.
• Experience: Ideally a minimum of 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel; experience with financial modeling and data analysis tools is an advantage.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
