Job summary

Asset Strategies Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. You will lead a team, drive month-end close, and maintain internal controls while partnering with senior leadership and clients.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and at least 5 years of accounting experience, with ASC 842 experience a plus. Strong GAAP expertise and leadership are essential for success.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Professional (CPA) to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. You'll join as an Accounting Manager and will report to the Assistant Controller. You'll be responsible for managing daily accounting functions, participating in the month-end close processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing leadership to the ASC 842 accounting team. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to partner effectively across the organization and with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Oversee and ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Collaborate with external clients to provide financial information, address inquiries, and ensure service excellence.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of accounting professionals; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights, variance analysis, and recommendations for business decision-making.
• Stay current on accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualification & Requirements:

• Experience: 5 years of accounting experience
• Experience with ASC 842 is a plus
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
