Job summary

UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group is seeking experienced Accounting Manager Consultants to support clients across Florida, with a primary focus on Miami and South Florida. Engagements vary by client and may be onsite, hybrid, or remote.

The consultant will lead month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting and audit support, strengthening controls and processes with limited ramp-up to stabilize the client’s accounting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on close, general ledger, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience resolving complex accounting issues in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in large, multi-entity or complex environments; consulting or interim experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics 365, Workday, BlackLine or FloQast.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute key components of the month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries, account analysis and issue resolution.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger activity; clean up aged balances.
• Analyze results and investigate variances affecting reporting accuracy.
• Prepare internal and external financial reporting, including multi-entity reporting where applicable.
• Coordinate audit support and prepare schedules for external auditors.
• Assess controls and SOX remediation; improve close calendars and processes.
• Partner with controllers and cross-functional teams to implement sustainable client-side processes.
