Job summary

Cohere is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our Phoenix corporate team. You will manage a skilled accounting staff, oversee AR and AP functions, and strengthen controls and processes to support our growing portfolio of communities.

You’ll balance financial accuracy with exceptional service, develop people, and partner with senior leadership to ensure timely reporting and audit readiness, while fostering a collaborative, people‑first culture in a hybrid Phoenix office.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of management or general accounting experience, including AR within community management.
• 3–5 years of experience leading accounting teams across multiple locations; 2+ years AR team management.
• 2+ years of HOA or community management accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, billing, collections, reporting, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team across multiple functions and locations.
• Oversee accounts receivable activities and support accounts payable operations for accuracy and timeliness.
• Establish clear expectations, strengthen accountability, and train staff.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on controls, reporting, and audit readiness.
